Saint-Gobain NorPro develops and manufactures ceramic mass transfer and heat transfer media, catalyst bed supports, catalyst carriers and guard bed media for the chemical, petrochemical, refining and environmental industries.

Saint-Goban NorPro is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Compagnie de Saint-Gobain, a multinational corporation with headquarters in Paris.   Saint-Gobain is one of the largest industrial corporations in the world with a strong organization in engineered materials.

Saint-Gobain NorPro is split among three businesses:

  • Catalytic Products for custom catalyst carriers, MacroTrap® guard bed media and other top bed solutions for catalytic reactors
  • Process Ceramics for Denstone® support media, heat transfer media, and Norton™ mass transfer packing
  • Saint-Gobain Proppants for high-performance ceramic proppant products
Saint-Gobain NorPro, Catalytic Products, has the widest range of custom-developed catalyst carriers available, not only from alumina, but also from zirconia, silica, titania, silicon carbide and other materials.  Physical and chemical properties, shape and size may be made to order.  We also product MacroTrap® highly-macroporous ceramic guard bed media and other top-bed solutions for catalytic reactors.
Saint-Gobain NorPro, Process Ceramics, offers the industry standard Denstone® range of ceramic bed support media, and other products specifically designed for the oil refining industry.  We also offer a wide range of ceramic mass transfer packings and internals, in addition to our advanced design heat storage media like Ty-Pak®, Snowflake® media and Norton™ saddles from proprietary ceramic materials.
Saint-Gobain Proppants offers the most effective proppants on the market.  Their spherical shape and inherent high strength allow them to be used in the deepest wells that can be drilled today.  Ceramic proppants are used in every petroleum and natural gas producing area in the world.
