They also eliminate the accompanying insulating effect of accumulated residual and combustion products. They maintain thermal conductivity as designed when applied to original equipment. Thermal stress is greatly reduced and increased thermal shock resistance, experienced in NASA tests, leaves coatings unaffected, non-catalytic, and chemically stable
